Downtown
Santa Monica draws tourists from all over the world. The Third
Street Promenade with its street performers, theatres, restaurants,
pubs, and shops is only a block away from the studio, the beach
only three blocks more. There's a pier with a ferris wheel and
a 100-year-old carousel, not to mention bicycle and rollerblade
rentals.
If
you are coming from out of town this may be the only place in
L.A. where you can get by without a car. There are at least twenty
places to stay within a few blocks of 4th Street Recording. For
stays of more than a week we can recommend corporate rentals,
bungalows and apartments that have kitchens on nearby residential
streets.
